| The recently upgraded On-Line Analyzer (OLA-200), uses the PGNAA technique for continuous on-line measurement of the light elements, Na, Mg, Al, Si, P, S, Cl, K and Ca in slurry and solution applications. The OLA-200 provides simultaneous analysis of multiple elements.
The assay information output to the controlling computer (PC) enables plant operators, or a process control system, to make changes to the process to ensure product quality and/or recovery is optimized.
The analyzers add value in applications where measurement of gangue material such as silica, alumina or magnesium is essential in phosphate beneficiation.
The analyzer incorporates the most recent improvements in detector and electronic design. The system now has full digital signal processing. Remote diagnostics down to the detector level are possible which enables Thermo to provide superior serviceability and accuracy. Higher count processing rates allow significantly improved accuracies. All of the system's settings and configurations are done from the central PC. All of these factors add up to improved performance and reliability and a quicker pay-back.
